Castlefield Rooms Wedding Photographer
When Demi & Aaron asked me to photograph their wedding at the Castlefield Rooms in Manchester, I jumped at the chance. Not only is it just down the road from where I live but, more importantly, it is a fabulous choice for a wedding venue.
Castlefield itself is well-known for its historic significance and charm. First settled by the Romans around two thousand years ago, it later became central in the development of Manchester as the first modern industrial city in the world. But on this day, it was all about Demi and Aaron, a beautiful couple, both of them born and bred in this famous city.

The day started at a hotel in the city where I found Demi and her girls getting ready. With the magnificent Manchester city backdrop visible through the enormous window, this was a chilled affair – although they would have preferred a view of Old Trafford if they were being really picky!
Getting Married at Manchester’s Castlefield Rooms
Over the years, Castlefield has undergone extensive urban regeneration efforts, transforming it from an area of historic industry into a thriving urban quarter. These efforts have preserved the area’s heritage while creating vibrant public spaces and Castlefield Rooms itself is no exception, providing a unique and picturesque backdrop for a special Manchester wedding day.
We grabbled a few shots of Aaron with his groomsmen before it was all systems go for the ceremony itself. Demi and Aaron chose the Brindley Room in which to tie the knot. The good people at the Castlefield Rooms work hard to create the perfect décor to reflect a couple’s own style and vision. It was simply stunning on this perfect day.

Surrounded by scenic canals, bridges, and historic buildings, the Castlefield Rooms location creates a romantic ambiance and provides stunning photo opportunities for your wedding album. It happened to be raining on this day, but that didn’t stop us popping out for a quick walk to grab those all-important wedding portraits. There is literally no end to the opportunities for stylish and romantic couples shots in this fabulous place.
Party time!
As the wedding breakfast made way for speeches and evening festivities, expertly hosted by Nathan Connelly, our happy couple partied the night away in this stunning Manchester wedding venue.
