Milnrow Wedding, Lancashire

Alix and Arron got married in their home town of Milnrow, nestled in the beautiful Lancashire countryside.  I’m so pleased that they chose me to be their wedding photographer for the day.

I arrived nice and early to photograph Alix getting ready with her pals.  Bridal prep can be a hectic and cluttered affair – not so this one!  Elegantly styled, together with architect Arron, Alix’s Lancashire home was a scene of sophisitication, poise and precision.  The ladies themselves were also suitably calm and collected.  What a lovely, chilled start to the day.  Once set, it was off to the beautiful St James The Apostle Church in Milnrow centre where Arron was waiting excitedly.  Alix looked amazing in her dress – graceful and refined.  Father of the bride Phil looked rightly proud as he walked her down the aisle.

Bella Vista Milnrow

After photographing the group shots outside church in glorious sunshine, it was a short drive in Rolls Royce luxury to popular local eatery Bella Vista Restaurant for the rest of the day’s celebrations.  I love intimate weddings like this one where the our happy couple’s nearest and dearest friends and family can relax in unhurried, unpretentious surrounds.  No rushing around.  No stuffy formalities.  Simply a tasteful and leisurely wedding reception for all to enjoy, expertly hosted by the affable Elio and his staff.  Alix & Arron and myself went off for a short walk to grab some newlywed portraits with some stunning Lancashire countryside as a backdrop.  Meanwhile, the guests enjoyed delicious Italian canapés and drinks, played lawn games and enjoyed the superb music of the Colour Blue duo and band.  Weddings are wonderful occasions, but they do fly by!  It wasn’t long before the evening guests arrived and the band got into their groove once more.  We stopped for a quick cake-cut photo then it was time for me to leave the the happy couple and their guests to enjoy the rest of the evening.

It was a real joy to photograph this beautiful Lancashire wedding and I’m so grateful to Alix & Arron for choosing me to shoot their special day.  Thanks guys and I wish you all the happiness in the world.
