Welsh Yurt Weddings at Fron Farm Yurt Retreat is one of my absolute favourite places to photograph weddings.
Friends and family
Full disclosure: Tasha and Guy, who run this amazing glamping site and wedding venue, are good friends of mine. So it is always great to see them and their beautiful family. I’ve been going to Fron Farm for the best part of 15 years now, on holiday myself and with my own family. And throughout that time, I have witnessed a transformation. Guy and Tasha’s vision, talents and tireless endeavours have revolutionised the old farm land and buildings into the incredible wedding venue it is today.
Nestled in 60 acres of organic farmland in the lush rolling countryside of South West Wales, Fron Farm has always enjoyed an idyllic and peaceful location. Just 30 minutes from the international award-winning coastlines of Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Cardigan Bay, and a stone’s throw from the majestic Preseli Mountains, the farm is hidden away in a picturesque, secluded valley.
Welsh Yurt Wedding Venue
Over the years, Tasha, Guy and their team have developed this magical Fron Farm setting into a wonderful glamping retreat and Welsh Yurt Wedding venue. Handcrafted by Guy himself, a selection of yurts and roundhouses sit harmoniously amidst the landscaped gardens, ponds and fire pits to provide ample accommodation for you and your guests. Two larger yurts can host most wedding receptions up by the fully-licensed bar. And the latest addition – a dedicated wedding suite – will make sure the happy couple get the luxury treatment they deserve. All of this with stunning views across the glorious Welsh valley below.
Medieval Chapel on-site
As if Guy’s handiwork on the farm wasn’t impressive enough, the cherry on the top must be the delightful, medieval chapel that sits at the top of the lane. Restored by hand from ruins, this exquisite place is perfect for unlicensed ceremonies of any nature. Private and secluded, this unusual ceremonial space is simply stunning.
There is something very special about Fron Farm and the Welsh Yurt Wedding Venue. If you go for a visit, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. Without being too cosmic about it, there’s a certain energy about the place: a vibe, a feeling. Stress-free positivity in a tranquil and super friendly atmosphere. The place attracts a certain kind of person. Those people bring their like-minded family and friends. And the atmosphere that develops is one of real joy. I’ve shot a number of weddings here since they opened last year, and there are more booked in the diary. Couples and their guests have travelled from near and far, drawn by the special attraction of this unique wedding venue. And each of them have left utterly certain that they made the right choice. Whether it’s an intimate, boho, alternative wedding or more glamourous, luxurious occasions, the Welsh Yurt Weddings venue can deliver them all in its own very special way.
